Summer Feelings - Sebastien Montaz-Rosset

These films were shot on the 5DMKII (with some 7D and 1D) by HDSLR film makers around the world:

I would say Sebastien is one of the most talented 5D film makers on the planet right now. Peerless work.

Moonwalk Films (Australia): Apricot. A Short Film.

Top 5 Narrative Finalist for the Vimeo Awards 2010.

A masterly short directed by Ben Briand that shows how nicely the 7D (&5D) can intercut with much more expensive mainstream cameras such as RED and in turn, Film.

Matthew Allard: Live from Aljazeera, shot on 1D.

Canon 1D Mark IV used on Live cross from Tokyo, Japan. Running at 2000ISO with a Canon 70-200mm IS2 US f2.8 lens. Ultra dark background brought back to life through the incredible low light capabilities of the 1D Mark IV.

This shot would of been virtually impossible to do with any broadcast camera.

Soviet Montage (US): HDR Video. Shot on Dual 5DMKII's.

www.sovietmontage.com

This video highlights several clips they have made using their new High Dynamic Range (HDR) process. Video is captured on two Canon 5D mark II DSLRs, each capturing the exact same subject via a beam splitter. The cameras are configured so that they record different exposure values, e.g., one camera is overexposed, the other underexposed. After the footage has been recorded, they used a variety of HDR processing tools to combine the video from the two cameras.

Oton Bacar (US): 7D 1000fps.

Quite simply the best HDSLR slomo on the planet ! Stunning.

Jason Wingrove (AUSTRALIA): 50's Fair

An unusual film for me to include on this page, but this has such a beautiful colour grade and nice to see another example of how I like to shoot - wide open for shallow depth of field and using the fader ND to set exposure.

Jason Wingrove (AUSTRALIA): Sea Pool Shot HD on 5DMKII

Nice observational style and B&W grade.

Thursday

Benj Haisch (US): Roman Holiday. I think It's Her. 5D/7D

Crisp performance with high shutter speed, good use of available light. Intelligent use of the 7D to shoot in camera slomo of narrative elements.

Joseph Kahn (US): Kylie Minogue 'All The Lovers' Shot 5D/7D

This very stylish video for Kylie's latest single 'All The Lovers' was shot on a combination of 5D's and 7D's, the superfast 50mm f1.2 prime lens enabling the very short depth of field look.

Fox Broadcasting (US): House Season Finale. Shot entirely on 5DMKII.

From Director Greg Yaitanes, the most game changing single piece of work yet produced shooting on the 5DMKII.
